<![CDATA[Sicara Says]]> <![CDATA[Sheesh!]]> Why is it that whenever there is an original idea put out into the pixel world 20 more of the same sites with the same idea pop up? But what's EVEN worse ... you know the owners are in it only for the money, their other sites are NEVER updated, they hit you with excuse after excuse whining about their life issues and problems and never get anything done! Now that Pimp My Doll (http://pimp-my-doll.com) has opened, everyone and their sister are starting new "only doll" sites ... I mean really get your own dang original idea!!!!!!!

 

]]> <![CDATA[The Bad and The Ugly ...]]> It sucks that in a pixel community (and I use the word community lightly) that there are so many people willing to steal and lie ... why? It's completely NOT needed in my opinion ... and what hurts even more? Someone that you thought was a nice, decent person is the one caught ... BUT then what makes matters EVEN WORSE ... just because this person is who she is everyone looks past it as if the evidence isn't slapping you in the face! AND there are people defending her, saying they stick behind them 100% ... sorry but if you do then I know for a fact your site is not one I will be apart of.

]]> <![CDATA[Ick!]]> I'm starting to get VERY annoyed with my body! *lol*

For about 2 weeks now maybe even more I have been CONSTANTLY sick to my stomach, never enough to become sick but enough for it to be noticeable and to feel annoyed and icky!

A couple people have said that maybe I am pregnant but I know the chances of that are non-existant so I'm trying not to think that way. I will end up taking a pregnancy test maybe this week, I know it will be negative and then it will just be crappy. I know it's not possible but ya still kinda hold out on some hope ya know? And then when it isn't true it's like yeah I knew I wouldn't be but still what a let down ...

Oh well I guess once I establish that I really am not pregnant maybe then I can just not focus on it and it will go away on it's own!

This is kinda updated cause I forgot about this draft LOL but I did take a test and it was negative, which I knew would happen ... hubby was upset but such is life. I dont think I am one of those people that will have kids, but that's just me ...

]]> <![CDATA[Writing your Site Terms]]> I know the hardest part for me when creating my first pixel site was writing the terms. It seems sites have a ton of terms and for every little thing. So, if you're feeling a little overwhelmed feel free to use the following outline when creating your own pixel site!

General Terms:
This section should cover such things as log ins, prices, discounts, as well as your badge information.
Do you offer discounts?
Once they log in are they allowed a discount?
Do they need to place a badge on their site? Within a certain time frame?
Also good to note that the graphics are created by you.
Username and Password Policy, are they allowed to share it? Penalty for doing so?
Payments, at what point can they get or not get a refund?
Hot linking Policy, penalties for doing so?
Can they share anything in your members area with other people? For free or purchase?
Do you have a mailing list? Is it mandatory to join? Penalties for not joining?
Policy for those who have broken OTHER artist's TOU?
Do you offer a commericial/tubing/as is/tutorial/or for profit license?
Policy on once someone is removed.
Do they need a web site to join?
Do you require access to the members area to make sure they abide by the rules?
If the membership has expired must they keep your badge on their site?
Can anything from your site be shared in yahoo/Google/MSN groups?

Lineart
What can they do with your lineart? What can't they do with your lineart?
Do you allow tubing?
Do you have a tubing license that is required?
Do you offer AS IS licenses?
Do you allow line altering? Minor changes to line art, or full changes? Can they offer altered lines in their members area?
Can they create other things with your line art that they have coloured?
Is credit required when your members use your lineart? Where is the credit to be? Same page or credit page?
Penalties for misusing your lineart.
Can line art be resized?
Can outlines be removed from one to add to another?

Tubes
What can be done with your tubes? What can't be done with your tubes?
Do you allow your tubes to be re-coloured? If so which ones?
Do you allow others to make things with your tubes for profit e.g. Sig tags, stats, web sets etc
Is credit required when using your tubes? Where is the credit to be? Same page or page of credits?
Penalties for misusing tubes.
Must they add something to tubes besides text before making a tag?

Tutorials
What can they do with them?
Can their result be used for profit?
Does they end result have to differ from yours?
Can tutorials be created with your line art?
Can they tube their tutorial results?

Dolls
Can they be changed slightly for animation?
Can hair, eye, skin colour be changed?
Can bases be tubed?
Must the name stay the same?
Will the dolls need SOME kind of clothing before they can be offered? Underwear or Fully Clothed?
Other Graphics: Banners, Emoticons, Quilt Squares
Can they be used on a personal or business site, or both?
Is credit needed? Where?
What can be done with them?
Can they be added to members areas?

Adoptions
Can these be shared with friends? Or for personal use only?
Can they be re-distributed?
Is there a banner provided? Must it be used?

Sig Tags
For those who will take sig tag requests:
How many requests per week?
Credit? Where?
Can they request for friends? If so how many how often?
When will requests be filled?
When can requests be sent?
For those who make blank tags:
Personal use only? Or can they be made for a friend as well?
Credits? Where?

Ad Spaces
Good to note here that you are not responsible for the things on other's sites.

Co-Owners
Must all join to use your work?
Can one join and use your work?
Can one membership be shared between them?

Auctions
Can your work, be used on auction sites? Those that are tubed, sig tags made etc ...
Certain ones you don't allow?
Must your badge be shown on the auction?
Link to you on the auction?

Freebies
If you offer freebies, can they be used for profit?
Can they be tubed?
Credits?

Trades
Terms of trade, what sites you will trade with and what you're willing to trade.
If your traded site doesn't update you have the right to terminate the trade.
Or if you do not trade, period.

Purchaseware
Do members get a discount? What? How do they claim it?
Are licenses included for tube/line packs in purchase area?
Credits?

The most important thing for any terms are to state that YOU do have the right and will USE it to change your terms without notice and at any time! Also state if the terms change during a particular membership if they are to abide by the new terms or the terms they joined under.
Any extra terms you have that perhaps come along the way you may wish to add under an important or revised heading. Try to keep them simple and clear, and use headings so people can easily reference it.
I'm not sure about others but I check terms regularly especially when I cant remember something so it's easier for me to see hmm does this person allow tubing without a license if I can go right to line art..

Other things to note should you choose:
You hold the right to refuse service to anyone.
You hold the right to refuse to sell anything to anyone.
You hold the right to refuse membership to anyone.
These may apply even to those who win the prize, you may wish to include that as well.

Donations Do you make them? How often are you willing to donate to the same person? How many are you willing to make within a specified time period, in general? What are you willing to donate?
