Scripture:
"And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." (John 8:32)
Reflection:
A lot of people are not aware that this phrase, made famous by Martin Luther King, was found in the Holy Scriptures. Christ reminds us to abide, study, live the word, (Scriptures) which is the truth. If you don't follow the truth you become a slave to sin, you abide in the world, not in the truth. If you really abide in the Word (truth) you become a disciple of Christ. Christ died on the cross to set you free. Free from sin, sin is no longer your master. Jesus Christ has set you free!!!!!!
Prayer:
Thank you Lord that I have discovered that in my life You are the Truth and You have set me free. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD

Scripture:
"Show me your faith without the works, and I will show my faith by my works". (James 2:18) NAS
"That without works is useless". (James 2:20) NAS
"You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone." (James 2:24) NAS
"For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead" (James 2:26) NAS
Reflection:
We are always asking God, show me? We want proof that God is God. We want proof that God loves us, as if the death of His Son would not be enough. I think James is telling us that we need to prove to God and others our faith. You see faith without good works is not really faith. We must show our faith our faith in Jesus through our actions. The ironic thing about all this is the proof that God is God in us!!!!!!!
Prayer:
Jesus I pray that my faith in you is seen through my good works everyday. My love, compassion, and service is found in my faith in You. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD

(Just a reminder, this is from the book you use as a guide for making decisions.)
"You have heard that is was said, 'An eye for and eye, and a tooth for a tooth'. But I say to you do not resist him who is evil; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek turn to him the other also." (Matthew 5:38,39)
"You have heard that it was said, 'You should love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you". (Matthew 5:43, 44)
Sincerely Yours With Unconditional Love,
Jesus Christ the councilor of presidents and savior of the world

Scripture:
"For if you forgive men for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive me, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions." (Matthew 6: 14,15)
Reflections:
Forgiveness, this is not an easy thing for us to do. One of the most meaningful passages in the Holy Scriptures is after being whipped, brutally beaten, stabbed, nails driven through his hands, taunted, belittled, spat upon, and placed on a a cross to die. Jesus Christ asks His Father in heaven to forgive them. WOW! thats powerful. I mean thats forgiveness. Instead of wanting revenge He forgives them. There have been times in my life when I have had to ask God for strength to forgive, I mean real forgiveness. I walked around for a long time with revenge in my heart it dominated my life. When my best friend was killed in Vietnam, I not only felt sadness, I felt real, powerful anger and yes hate. We had grown up together, we did everything together, he was like my brother. I was so angry, upon his death, I just wanted revenge. It dominated my life. I was angry at the government, I was angry at the president, I was angry at the military, I was angry at everyone. Then one evening my pastor came and talked to me about forgiveness, you see he was aware of my anger also. Together we prayed and asked God to give me strength, and to experience forgiveness in my heart. And you know something it worked. Even though those who I was angry at never sought forgiveness, I forgave them anyway, and my whole life changed. Finally one very important thing I have discovered about forgiveness, when I forgive I feel forgiveness.
Prayer:
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD

Scripture:
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is there will your heart also be." (Matthew 6:19-21)
Reflection:
Well I have to be honest with myself, I ain't rich. I'm not rich now as a matter of fact I'll never be rich. But I do desire and posess some things that I do not need. And I'm certainly rich compared to many others in this world. I do have treasures, and you know something its wrong. This verse reminded me of that. But I do have other treasures stored up. I have the treasures of love, compassion, forgiveness, grace, and happiness, and you know those treasures are from heaven.
Prayer:
Dear lord, thank you for my heavenly treasures that I also enjoy on earth. I am rich with your love and compassion and grace. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD.

Scripture:
"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and who seeks finds and to him wh knocks it shall be opened" (Matthew 7: 7,8)
Reflection:
Come on do you really believe this verse. All you have to do is ask, seek, and knock, and it's yours,,,,,come on! You know something it's true, no lie, its really true. The first thing that I really wanted of God was His Son to be in my life. There was a point in my life that I needed someone, and I needed help. I asked for Jesus to come into my life, I sought after him and I found Him and knocked and He opened the door. This works in reverse. Jesus asks, seeks and knocks for you. Have you ever seen the picture of Christ standing before a door knocking. That door is the door to your heart. Notice one important thing about the door, there is no door knob. You see you have to open the door to let Jesus in.
Prayer:
Thank you lord for coming into my heart. I asked, sought, and knocked and You came in. Thank you for being my life. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD.

Scripture:
"Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me for I am gentle and humble in near and shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My road is Light." (Matthew 11: 28-30)
Reflection:
This is truly one of my favorite passages in the Holy Scriptures. These 3 verses have brought such comfort my whole life. It is my hope and prayer that you can find comfort and joy through these verses. Whenever I am tired and so heavy burdened with life, I go to Jesus. He is my strength, my rest, and I can find peace through Him. My Savior is so gentle and kind, He provides peace and rest for my soul. For Jesus's road is not difficult, its not burdened and heavy laden. You see there is a light at the end of the road, there is peace and rest there, and it's the peace of Jesus Christ.
Prayer:
My Lord Jesus Christ thank you for your peace and for your comfort. Thank you that I find rest at your feet. Thank you that when I am heavy burdened and feeling down in my life. You are there for me. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD |

"Road of Ministry"
'As you travel this special road of ministry, may the Spirit of God surround you. Always remember that the Lord has promised to be there, whether you are in a valley or on top of a mountain. His hand will guide and protect you from harm, as long as you stay close to His side. If you should get ahead of Him, He will humble you. If you should falter He will encourage you. His grace will be sufficient for you to carry out the ministry He has annointed you to walk in. His blessings will follow you wherever you go.'
God Loves you and so do I

Scripture:
"And you will be hated by all account of My name, But it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. But whenever they persecute you in this city, flee to the next. For truly I say to you, you shall not finish going through the cities of Israel, until the son of man comes". (Matthew 10: 22,23)
Reflection:
Have you ever been hated by someone else I mean this person really hated you. It could have been anything, maybe something you said or did, that caused this hatred. It is a terrible feeling to be the object of hate and intollerence, just ask the person of color whats it like to be hated. But to be hated for your beliefs, for your faith, now thats real hate. When I became a Christian I felt that hatred several times, especially from former friends who hated the change they saw in me. You see they were hating something they could not understand, something they could not explain. All that hate came out on me. But the more hatred I felt, the more persecution I experienced, the stronger my faith became. QUESTION: HOW STRONG IS YOUR FAITH?
Prayer:
Thank you lord for your love and grace. Thank you that faith grows stronger everyday. I pray for those who hate and persecute me. Let that hate become love, the kind of love that is only found through Your Son Jesus. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD

Scripture:
"And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins: (Matthew 1:21)
Reflection:
Do you ever feel like you are falling and you need to be saved. That your life is a continuous mess and there is no end in sight. I really believe that we all feel the need to be rescued at some points in our lives. Well I would like to tell that Jesus Christ is there to save you. You don't have to be bound by sin, and you don't have to feel like you are falling. You don't need to be unhappy. I have discovered that when I asked my Savior to help me, He really does. I do not have to be alone, I do not have to keep falling. I think we get so involved with material things, we get so involved with are own pleasures, we begin to realize that those kind of things really don't make you happy. Every time I have found myself in that position, I have gone to Jesus for help. You know something the answer is always the same, I am a saved person. When I go back to Jesus, a change comes over me. When I am in God's grace, I begin to think about others and when I think of others I become involved, and when I become involved I stop falling. That is a great cycle to be in. Remember Jesus Christ is your savior and He is my savior, you don't have to keep falling.
Prayer:
Jesus thank You for dying for me. Thank You for keeping me from falling. Thank You for eternal life. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD.
