Officetronics would like to present a boring tech guy (me!) and here I am. I will talk about what types of computer printers are out there and what do they do. This is just to educate those who are computer illiterate and printer illiterate. Keep in mind this is just a friendly post for educational purposes. As a tech guy for Officetronics I have been dealing with printers so I get a general idea of what to say to whoever that ask me a question or two. Alrightey, here goes nothing! There are five type of printers and they are toner-based, liquid inkjet, solid ink, dye-sublimation, and inkless. Most commonly owned printers are toner-based and liquid inkjet for home and small businesses. I will focus on these two since others are more complicating and usually used for high tech companies.
Toner-based printers work using the Xerographic principle that is at work in most photocopiers: by adhering toner
to a light-sensitive print drum, then using static electricity to
transfer the toner to the printing medium to which it is fused with
heat and pressure.
Liquid Inkjet operate by propelling variably-sized droplets of liquid or molten material onto almost any medium.
I hope you found these helpful. Of course, there are tons of information on these type of printers and you can look it up on wikipedia or google and they'll provide you tons of information. This post is just a post in hoping to reach out lost souls who just happened to stumbled on this blog. Ok, that was corny so tech guy from Officetronics is outro! Have a good day!
