Facing life even with acne

Have you ever been in a situation where your acne problem
seems to be taking in control of your social life? Well I guess most of us
have. This skin disease is probably one of the biggest obstacles a person has
to go through during his/her adolescence.
According to Wikipedia,
"Acne vulgaris (commonly called acne) is a skin disease,
caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units (skin structures consisting of a hair
follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Severe acne is inflammatory, but
acne can also manifest in noninflammatory forms. Acne lesions are commonly
referred to as pimples, spots, or zits."
Fortunately or unfortunately, acne isn't caused by anything
that one does. It's not anybody's fault he/she has acne; it's not what one eats
or how often one washes his/her face. Acne is a result of the combination of
factors working beneath the surface of one's skin. So I guess that goes to say
that it is something one can't just avoid.
Treating acne can be either through herbs such as olive leaf
extracts, licorice root extract, and aloe vera extract or medications if it is
really that serious. And if it leaves you with a "remembrance," be assured that
acne scar treatments is always available.
Although it may be implied that acne is something one cannot
prevent, this shouldn't be a reason to break someone's social life. Be
confident despite the zit. After all, everyone's goes through it.

Play your way to a more powerful memory

Want to bulk up your memory like you bulk up your muscles? Research shows that certain kinds of mental stimulation increase neuron counts in the brain's memory center, says Gary Small, M.D., author of The Memory Prescription. Tasks that require several kinds of skills at once are the barbells of the mental gym. Some of the best ways to build up your memory banks:

Be a Well-Balanced Potato
Instead of watching TV while lounging in your Barcalounger, try sitting on an exercise ball. As you strengthen your sense of balance, you'll also be challenging two very different parts of your brain and strengthening the connections that help you store and retrieve information.

Change Sides
Use your nondominant hand in activities such as toothbrushing or dialing the phone to strengthen little-used neural pathways. Four-time U.S. memory champion Scott Hagwood—who can memorize a deck of cards in two minutes flat—does this at least four times a week.

Keep a Few Balls in the Air
Learning to juggle increases gray matter in areas of the brain that process and store visual information, according to a recent German study.

Do-Si-Do
Square dancing is known to protect against dementia, presumably because it requires multiple mental and physical skills. For the same benefit with a twist, try the video game Dance Dance Revolution, which has made fools out of countless addicts. Using an electronic footpad that records your steps (or missteps), the game plays music and shows you where to put your feet. "The pattern and the music are constantly altered—which makes it fun and challenging for the mind," says learning specialist Donalee Markus, Ph.D.

Sample the Unknown
Card games sharpen brain connections. For an even better cognitive workout, play with people you don't know. The randomness of the cards and the newness of communication patterns will give your brain a vigorous workout. Says Markus: "Novelty is like vitamins for the brain."

Cell Phones Make You Sick

Suddenly cell phone has emerge as one of the must have gadgets for everyone. In the first half of 2007 itself, statistics show that American has been using cell phones for more than 1 trillion minutes. This is a no surprise results as most of the users are trading their landlines to cell phones. The health conscious community start to question the impact of cell phones towards our body.

Cell phones transmit and receive a form of radiation in order to communicate with their base station via radio frequency (RF) which is consider as a low frequency radiation. High frequency radiation such as X-Ray is well known to cause cancer, but how about low frequency radiation like RF? Even though many cell phone companies deny the impact of it's transmission, however there are still radiation circulation to the users.

Recently, Israeli researchers reported in the American Journal of Epidemiology that long-term cell-phone users faced a "consistently elevated risk" of developing tumors in the parotid gland (a salivary gland located just below the ear). Also a handful of small studies have indicated that using a cell phone for an hour each day over a 10-year period can increase the risk of developing a rare brain tumor and that those tumors are more likely to be on the side of your head that you use to talk on the phone. Many researchers believe younger cell-phone users may face a higher risk of developing tumors because their nervous systems are not fully developed and their skulls are not as thick as those of adults.

One good tip for all cell phone users is to understand the phone's Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) before buying it, because you never know what's going to grow in your brain!

Why are you concerned about cellphones?

I can't tell you that cellphones are safe, and I can't tell you that they are harmful. That's the problem. The reason I can't is that there isn't really independent information, and the cellphone industry has been so quick to spin information.

Studies that you hear about that don't find a risk are often extremely limited, like the Danish Cancer Study. That's a ridiculous study. Anybody who used a cellphone for work was kicked out of the study, which is crazy, because those are the highest users. And they put all of these people together who were not using it for business -- the high users, the low users -- and they didn't find anything.

A study just released from France showed that people who used a cellphone for 10 or more years have double the risk of brain cancer. And people who owned two or more cellphones had more than double the risk of brain cancer. The level of this increase wasn't what we call statistically significant, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't important.

I do advocate that people use them with speaker phones, and with a head piece, and that children not use them. In Bangalore, India, and in Scandinavia, they recommend that children not use cellphones. It's illegal to sell a cellphone to someone under the age of 16 in Bangalore, India.

A cellphone is a microwave, and basically the reason your ear gets hot is that you're warming it with a microwave. You like cooking your brain? How would you like to cook the brain of your child? We're not cannibals. We shouldn't be doing that

Mesothelioma

Published: Dec.08.2007 @ 11:35 pm

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos.

In this disease, malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, a protective lining that covers most of the body's internal organs. Its most common site is the pleura (outer lining of the lungs and chest cavity), but it may also occur in the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity) or the pericardium (a sac that surrounds the heart).

Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibre in other ways, such as by washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos, or by home renovation using asbestos cement products. Unlike lung cancer, there is no association between mesothelioma and smoking.

Symptoms include:

abdominal pain

ascites, or an abnormal buildup of fluid in the abdomen

a mass in the abdomen

problems with bowel function

weight loss

In severe cases of the disease, the following signs and symptoms may be present:

blood clots in the veins, which may cause thrombophlebitis

disseminated intravascular coagulation, a disorder causing severe bleeding in many body organs

jaundice, or yellowing of the eyes and skin

low blood sugar level

pleural effusion

pulmonary emboli, or blood clots in the arteries of the lungs

severe ascites

A mesothelioma does not usually spread to the bone, brain, or adrenal glands. Pleural tumors are usually found only on one side of the lungs.

BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing
malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air
decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain
efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the
death of brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and
decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of
the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may
cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain.

************ *******
The main causes of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too lateand waking up too late are main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring , and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil.
Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming raw (overly done)
Foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished  in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary
chemicals according to "schedule."

Because :

Evening at 9 - 11 PM : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals
(detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their
homework, this will have a negative impact on health.

Evening at 11pm - 1 am : is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 1 - 3 am : detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5 am :
detoxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be
a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process
had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.

Morning 5 - 7am :
detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9 am : absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time.Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30 am , for those who are
sick. Breakfast before 7:30 am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to
eat breakfast late until 9 - 10 am rather than no meal at all.

Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow
produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

DO TAKE CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH...... ......... ..
