this is a bit of a painting of one of my favourite biblical stories (actually its one of like three that i remember from a childrens bible my grandma gave me), but i remember i liked it cos it was gory and had a chick in it who did something apart from give birth or mourn- i recognised her as soon as i saw the painting. i love how strong she is.
