An entry or blog entry is what you type up and show in your blog. Every entry has specific options for that entry. For example, what you are reading right now is an entry. This entry is in the topic "Entries".

Before an entry can be written a topic has to be created. You can not create a entry without a topic.

What if you do not remember your login information?

Go to the link below to have your login information sent to your email:

This email will contain your username and password.

Before you can request forgotten login information you must have activated your account. If you need help on account activation please visit the activation topic from the menu on the left.

What is account activation?

A short answer is that account activation is verifying your email address.

Long answer. An account is activated when the user clicks on the link that was sent in an email. The link has id's associated with one user account only. The information that is sent in the link is processed once it has loaded in your browser.

Blog subscribe is a feature that allows users to get email updates when new entries are created to blogs that have the blog subscription turned on.

Each blog has this option and not all blogs will allow subscribers. It is up to the blog owner to decide if users can subscribe to their blog or not.

In order to use this feature you must be a blogtext member.

Users can subscribe to other users blog by clicking the blog subscribe link located at the top right of every users blog. If you do not see a blog subscribe link, the blog owner does not have the feature turned on.

One user can be subscribed to one or more blogs. A User can manage all their subscriptions from their User Profile inside the blog manager..

Blog owners can turn on or off their blog subscription feature by going to their blog settings in the blog manager.

A topic is name you will use to group your blog entries so that they are organized. For example if you are going to write an entry about your experiences on vacations, an ideal topic would be Vacations or My Vacations.

A good topic should not be too specific, so that very few entries will fit that topic. An example of a bad topic would be The Day I Fell down a Hole. This would be a great title to a blog entry; an ideal topic for such an entry might be Do Not Do This.

To edit an entry you must be logged in to blogtext.org. From the blog manager click "Blog" from the top menu.

After you click blog the page loads with all of your entries. The blog entries are sorted by the created date with the most recent listed at the top.

To edit an entry click the title of the entry.

You can also change how your entries are listed. You can sort your entries ascending or descending by the Topic, Title, # of comments, and date.

If you would like to search for an entry to edit, click the "Blog" link from the top and then click "Search Entries".

Would you like to add images to your blog entries? This is easy to do with blogtext.org

After you have logged in and you are on the create new entry screen there is an icon that looks like a picture frame(). When you click this button a dialog window will open and allow you to upload images.

*Please note that the images kept in this location are separate from images you use for your photo albums.

When I try to login I get an internal server error. What is wrong?

If you see an internal server error when you try to login more than likely you have not activated your account. You should have recieved an email that explains how to activate your account.
