It has come to our attention today that users could not access the upload screen after creating an album. It is very important to us that our users know this problem has been fixed.

You might have been frustrated, confused or down right angry. Going through a random functionality test it came to our attention that uses could not upload images to albums.

The problem has been corrected and users may continue creating photo albums. If you need help please read entries in the topic "Albums".

Images uploaded to blogtext.org can not exceed the size of 2 megabytes or 2048 kilobytes. Images that are wider than 600 pixels in width will be resized to a width of 600 pixels.

When an image is larger than 600 pixels its width is resized to 600 pixels and the height of the image will be proportion to the width of 600 pixels. This makes your image look the exact same other than the fact that it has been sized down.

Image types supported by blogtext.org. You may upload any of the following images types.

.jpg
.jpe
.jpeg
.png

Question: I have created an album how do I upload images to that album?

Answere: After you are logged into blogtext.org click the "Photos" link in the top menu. From that screen select the album you wish to upload your images to. After you have selected the album, there will be a link on the page that says "Upload New Image", click that link. Then you will find yourself looking at the upload new image form.

We have released the photo album feature to all blogtext.org users. Start creating your photo albums by logging into blogtext.org.

To create an album you must be logged into blogtext.org. When you login click the "Photos" link in the top menu. In the second level menu click "Create New Photo Album".

After you create an album you will be able to upload images to that album. Images can have comments. You as the owner of the image can edit the image information and delete comments made to your images.

As we have said before, we are planning to release a photo album feature to blogtext.org. Just to update our users the planned date to release this new feature is Saturday the 18th of June.

There are other features in the works for blogtext.

1. Friend List - This list will consist of persons a user coniders to be a friend. Not only will users friends be listed, they will have a link to their blogs.
2. User Profiles - A profile page for everyone user with or without an image of the user’s choice. Displaying your profile will be an option for each user. In the new release of the user profile, users will be able to enter more information about themselves.
3. Contact Member - Users who want an option for other members to send them emails, from their blog, will have that ability with the new release of users profiles. Users will not have to disclose their email address to be contacted from their blog.
4. Member entry voting - This feature will allow users to allow other members to vote on their entries. This option will be set per entry, meaning each entry you write will have the option to allow member voting or to not allow voting.
5. Subscribers List - This feature will allow users to see who is subscribed to their blog.

We are working on more ideas to make this server better. If you have any ideas or comments, please let us know.

There was an error with the listing of users blog subscriptions. The problem was that only one of the users subscriptions to other blogs would show in the list. Users who are subscribed to two or more blogs would only be shown one.

This error is now fixed.

Want to edit or delete comments you have made to someones elses blog? If you are logged in and you are viewing an entry that you have made a comment on, look for the edit and delete button near your comment.

How do you edit comments posted to your blog entries?

To edit comments to your blog entries login to blogtext.org. After you login use the top menu and click the "Blog" link.

Once you list your entries you will notice there is a number to the right of every entry title. This number is a count of comments posted to that entry. Click the number to edit the comments.

Albums names are used to organize your images. For example, if I wanted to upload pictures from a wedding, I would create a album called "joes wedding" and upload images under the album name "joes wedding".

After you create an album you can upload images. Users can have one or more albums.

Users albums can be viewed by going to http://www.blogtext.org/yourusername/myimages
