Is Healing Also Spiritual?

Is Healing Also Spiritual?
Anyone can place seeds in the ground and let them grow, but a man would be fully occupied making one seed grow, supervising the complex chemical activities necessary to life. To do it for one hundred or one thousand seeds would drive the best human being crazy; yet without the slightest effort Omniscience supervises a billion seeds. This is the Wisdom with which we deal in spiritual healing.

Since it has the necessary knowledge to build a body out of the common materials circulating in the mother’s blood, it certainly has not forgotten how new cells are built. Sometimes it amazes humanity by doing some remarkable rebuilding without human intervention after man has done his best and failed. Usually the prerequisite is a human consciousness that says, "I believe that ALL the wisdom of God is rebuilding this body now."
Then is needed a power before which this seemingly intractable condition is nothing.

A person may bring himself to regard a serious growth as of no more moment than a pimple. People know that pimples disappear after a short time. As a result, they do not fear them, there is some chemical action or some power which automatically seems to remove them. They know vaguely that there is some chemical action or some power which automatically seems to remove them. When they are able to lift their awareness to this Power to the point where even the serious condition is seen to be as no more than a pimple to the Power, they are fulfilling another condition of healing. It might be stated in this way: as long as the fear of the condition outweighs the knowledge of the Power, there is no healing; as soon as the knowledge of the Power outweighs the fear of the condition, healing occurs.

Many ‘little’ things are healed with a partial consciousness and a weak faith, but from time to time arise conditions which call for not some but all of the power of God, because the need for a consciousness of Omnipotence, in which man’s puny fears can be immersed forever.

Next is Omnipresence.

Since man has observed the Super Intelligence way out in space and at the same time buried in the infinitesimal atom, he knows that a characteristic of God must be Omnipresence.

The significance of this in healing has been overlooked. Man can readily grasp the concept of God as filling distant space; he can carry this over into a belief that Super-Intelligence fills the atmosphere of the city, for he sees the stars above; he can make it more intimate by imagining that it fills the room in which he is, that it permeates his clothing; then he can make it intensely personal by thinking of it as saturating his hear, his skin, penetrating within to the most central cell of his body. In this latter he is supported by the physiologist who sees the working of Intelligence in the chemistry of a single cell. He calls it Intelligence; we call it Infinite Healing Presence. Does it matter if we call it Nature, or God?

In one sense our surrender to illness is a denial of Omnipresence. We assist in our healing when we declare, "Right where that trouble seems to be, God is, as the Infinite Healing Omnipresence. Not near, not all around, but right in the middle of it, filling that spot to the limit so that there is no room for anything unlike Itself. I surrender myself, thought and body, to the flow of Omnipresence.

We have the feeling that Divine Intelligence must have other interests besides ours.

All the undivided attention of Super-Intelligence is concentrated on Our problem, as though there were not another person in the universe, nor a blade of grass not a star. One of the secrets of Jesus power was that he considered himself the only-begotten Son of the Father; hence it was easy to feel that all the Father’s resources were at his disposal.

There is no secret to healing for its method is spread across the face of nature.

The secret is in knowing how to apply what nature shows us to our everyday life, and even to translate what we observe to our own healing and health. The Beneficial Affects of a Full Body Massage

The Beneficial Affects of a Full Body Massage
For total relaxation nothing beats a full body massage performed by a professional masseuse. Indulge yourself in one today.
There is nothing that compares to the stress relief and total relaxation that a full body massage gives. You’ve probably seen the little massage kiosks at the local mall with an eager masseuse just waiting to give a quick rub down. Sure, you can sit in that special massage chair, your face pressed into that donut hole pillow and get some quick relief from your daily stresses but let’s face it, getting a massage in a crowded noisy shopping mall isn’t quite the experience most of us wish for when it comes to getting a massage.

To fully enjoy the relaxing benefits of a full body massage you have to go to a licensed massage therapist, take off your clothes, get on that massage table in a quiet room and get rubbed and kneaded with special massage oils and creams. And make sure you set aside a full hour for this truly relaxing experience.

Getting a full body massage is an incredible feeling, leaving the daily stress and tensions we all encounter a thing of the past. Just one hour of your time is all it takes to bring back a sense of peace and tranquility to yourself. But remember that the only way to achieve this inner piece is from a fully licensed massage therapist who is trained is the art of massage therapy. Having your spouse or significant other give you a massage is not quite the same, no matter how much fun it may be.

There are many benefits to getting a full body massage, from the afore-mentioned stress relief to helping improve the immune function of the body. Not everything is known as to why the art of massage does all these wonderful things but many studies have shown that when done a trained masseuse a full body massage is extremely beneficial to anyone who gets one. During these studies of massage therapy five benefits have been found to be true.

1. During rehabilitation after a muscle injury a full body massage is helpful during the healing process.

2. It goes without saying that a massage helps relive painful muscles, nerves and joints in the body.

3. A massage is a great way to release tight and stressed muscles that are a part of daily modern life.

4. Improved function of the immune system is another great benefit of going to a massage therapist.

5. And for over all stress relief nothing beats the relaxing affect of a full body massage.

Sports massage can help athletes stay healthy, perform better and recover faster.

Sports massage can help athletes stay healthy, perform better and recover faster.
Sports massage is not just an indulgence for spoiled athletes. Even the average fitness buff can gain significant benfits by incorporating massage into a training program.
If you engage in any regular athletic activity then you have likely experienced the consequences of your attempt to maintain a level of fitness. Muscle strains, pulls and aches are common occurrences of both professional and amateur athletes alike. Sports massage can help reduce the frequency and severity of these ailments. And that's just the start of the benefits.

Whether you are participating in competitive sports or simply exercising to stay in shape, massage will help you to remain in better condition in general and will help to prevent injuries during competition or workouts. Massage can help an athlete to train more effectively, perform better and recover more quickly.

Vigorous training can lead to muscles that are rigid and inflexible. These muscles may look terrific on your frame but they are vulnerable to injury and may hinder performance. Muscle tension may result in an imbalance within the musculo-skeletal structure and may add stress to joints, ligaments and tendons. A well-trained sports massage therapist can detect these irregularities and, by applying proper techniques, help to restore the flexibility and elasticity that reduces these potentially harmful stresses.

Sports massage is essentially a form of Swedish massage that is designed to relax muscles by applying pressure in a manner that improves circulation in the muscles and flushes out toxins and waste. When muscles are tight circulation is restricted and when blood is not reaching all areas of the muscle properly the tissues are missing out on vital nutrients important for muscle repair. By using massage to loosen muscles, lactic acids, uric acids and other waste will not be restricted in the muscle tissues where they can cause damage.

Massage can be an integral part of anyone's training regimen. Incorporating massage into an overall fitness program can insure that muscles remain supple and healthy thus insuring the maximum effectiveness during workouts and peak performance during events. Regular massage during training is essentially a maintenance program and helps insure that optimal results are achieved during training by promoting flexibility and avoiding debilitating injuries.

Sports massage can be a crucial component during a specific athletic event. A brief massage session prior to an event will increase the blood flow to the muscles and reduce tension. This will improve flexibility and performance. Massage applied during a sporting event can address any tightness or cramping that may occur and promote recovery from prior activity. After the event, massage helps the athlete to relax and assists in the repair of tissues slightly damaged during the event.

Even with all of the preventive measures taken to avoid muscle damage, it is inevitable that extreme levels of activity will result in aches, cramps strains and pulls. Sports massage is an excellent method for rehabilitating damaged muscles and insuring that training is not disrupted due to severe injuries.

One thing is certain, building a relationship with a sports massage therapist will be of great benefit to an athlete or anyone else interested in maintaining good physical conditioning. A massage therapist that is familiar with your routines, your goals and the tendencies of your muscular system will be able to help you stay fit and perform effectively.

The Massage Goes Medical!

The Massage Goes Medical!
Massage has long been known for its health and therapeutic effects. With these acclaimed health benefits, massage has been acknowledged as a medical alternative to help in the healing and preventing of pains and aches.
Everyone has been saying that massage has health and holistic benefits. And that it has medical uses. But what is a medical massage? And does it differ to a regular massage? Medical massage is orientation rather than a particular set of techniques. It is not general relaxation massage; it is anatomically precise and patient specific. The medical massage therapist combines education, training, experience and intuition to create an integrative manual-therapy approach to reducing the patient's soft-tissue related complaints. Using the term medical massage, rather than therapeutic massage is the first step toward describing the techniques and goals as one moves from a relaxation paradigm to a therapeutic, corrective and restorative paradigm. It seems to be accepted without protest from the allopathic medical practitioners.

It is sometimes defined as medically necessary massage, which is usually prescribed by a physician. Medical massage is generally practiced in relation to a specific goal focused on improving health of patients. It is very helpful for people who suffer from an assortment of health conditions. Generally speaking, medical massage is a noninvasive therapy that produces beneficial health results to those experiencing numerous health-related illnesses and injuries. According to an article written by Certified Senior Instructor, Boris Prilutsky - "... Medical Massage has been clinically and scientifically shown to bring about a vasodilartory effect that significantly reduces cardiac work."

Thus, medical massage is result oriented. The treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions that have been diagnosed and prescribed by a physician. The therapist may use a variety of modalities or procedures during the treatment, but will focus that treatment only on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis and prescription. In order for massage therapists to state that they are treating someone, they must first be able to legally determine what it is that they are actually treating. Consulting and working together with a licensed doctor will give way to the best results in the course of the massage. Knowing what the problem and illness is will give way to the best and proper type of medical massage to be given.

Many in the field may think this is giving away their power to the physician, but nothing could be further from the truth. A physician can become our most powerful ally when we learn to work in a cooperative manner. Giving up the wannabe mentality will enable massage therapists to manifest their highest potential as a massage therapist.

All forms of massage therapy can be therapeutic when applied by a skillful and knowledgeable Therapist; therefore Medical Massage is not limited to any particular specific technique. The capacity to combine the intuitive and scientifically proven principles defines the art and science of medical massage therapy.

Manually applied therapy can be a logical treatment process and it is cost effective as well. If you are an individual with repetitive motions in your job, in your recreational activity, or just the daily stress of life itself, then you are a candidate for evaluation to determine which type of bodyworks therapy is most appropriate for you. As powerful as medical massage therapy can be, in certain cases it may be contraindicated. Please consult with your physician or health care provider to determine the appropriate treatment protocol.

Alcoholism and Healing

 Alcoholism and Healing
Discover the self-abandonment that underlies alcoholism and other addictions, and how you to begin healing this self-abandonment.
Jeffrey showed up at one of my 5-Day Inner Bonding Intensives to deal with his alcoholism and resulting relationship problems. His past two marriages had ended in messy divorces. His business was falling apart. Yet in the face of all of this, Jeffrey could not or would not stop drinking.

Two things were immediately apparent in my first session with Jeffrey. First, he had completely abandoned himself, making others responsible for his self-worth. Due to his unwillingness to take responsibility for his own feelings, he was constantly pulling others for approval with his "niceness." His inauthentic saccharine niceness felt like sticky glue trying to ooze its way into having control over getting others’ approval. Needless to say, it was not working for him.

Second, he had no spiritual connection, no Source to turn to for love, comfort and guidance. As anyone who has attended AA knows, being able to turn to a spiritual Source is essential for healing. The support of the people within the program can help sustain abstinence, but true healing comes from the inner spiritual connection.

No one had ever confronted Jeffrey with how much they were put off by his controlling niceness. They would just go away, leaving him to wonder what he had done wrong. At first, when the Intensive participants told Jeffrey about feeling pulled at for approval, he felt hurt. But within the loving energy of the Intensive, he was soon able to open to learning about the gift they were offering him. He was able to see that, because he was abandoning himself by ignoring his feelings and judging himself, he was handing others responsibility for his feelings of worth.

Once Jeffrey opened to how alone he felt inside when he abandoned himself, he was able to move into compassion rather than judgment for his feelings. As his heart open to compassion for himself, he began to feel the love that is always within and around us – the love that is our Source.

As a result of learning and practicing the 6-Step Inner Bonding process and connecting with himself and his spiritual Guidance, Jeffrey no longer wanted to drink. The alcohol was filling up the inner emptiness caused by his self-abandonment and disconnection from his Source. He left the Intensive with no desire to drink. Jeffrey has been alcohol-free for many years now.

Rachael had been struggling with her alcoholism for 19 years before attending an Inner Bonding Intensive. While she had a strong belief in God, she had never felt a deep and personal connection with God. Like Jeffrey, she had used alcohol to fill the emptiness and avoid the pain that came from her own self-abandonment and disconnection from her Source. Rachael was constantly judging herself as inadequate. Until the Intensive, she had believed that her pain was being caused by others’ behavior towards her – others’ judgments of her. At the Intensive, she discovered that she was not a victim – that her pain was being caused by ignoring her feelings and judging herself, as well as by not speaking up for herself with her husband and family.

As Rachael learned and practiced the Inner Bonding process, she started to attend to her own feelings and make the connection between her pain and her self-judgments. She also started speaking up for herself. As she opened her heart to her Source, to her feelings, and to the beautiful essence within her, she discovered a joy that she had never felt in her life. The inner emptiness and anxiety that had been her constant companions were gone. Gone too was her desire to drink.

Addictions are caused by self-abandonment – by ignoring your feelings, by judging yourself, and by closing your heart to your Source. They can be healed.

Why and How To Get A Portable Massage Table
A portable massage table in a very important massage equipment of a therapist, and choosing the right on will help enhance the effects of a massage treatment. With so many portable massage tables available, one must be keen in choosing the perfect one that will help you give the best benefits, for you and your client.
Massage has always been a great stress reliever, even just as a relaxing way to ease our tired bodies. And with the practicality and modern technology that we have today, it isn’t any wonder that this type of luxury could go portable.

Portable massage equipments have made massage an even greater experience. With this you can have your massage at virtually anywhere you’d like it to be, in the office, outdoors, especially in the privacy of your very own home. These portable equipments have made the massage a more interesting and enjoyable experience.

The first factor to consider is the modality or type of massage/bodywork that you do. In general all portable massage table models are suitable for general wellness massage or any moderately vigorous type of bodywork where the therapist stands basically upright and works on a prone client. The lowest height any massage table will go to is 22". This makes our portable massage tables generally unsuitable for Rolfing, chiropractic or other modalities that require a very low table height.

The second factor is the amount of traveling that you do with your table. Ease of setup and weight are important for travel. Most portable massage tables set up in seconds, but if you plan on traveling with your portable massage table quite a bit, consider the versatility of the portable massage table. This versatile model should be designed lighter in weight, thus easy to transport, yet built to withstand your busy practice. Keep in mind that a carrying case will make transporting your table a lot easier and protect it too.

The third factor is your budget. A portable massage table’s goal is to provide you with the best quality portable massage equipment at the lowest possible price. You'll notice that pricing is quite competitive. In fact, you should understand and believe that dollar for dollar, value for value there is not a portable massage table or portable massage chair out there that can outperform each other.

A portable massage table may be the best equipment yet. Massage tables are the most crucial and important equipment of a massage session, besides the masseuse. This is where the client lies down, relax himself, and get his choice of massage. With a portable massage table one could easily get a massage just about everywhere. This portable massage tables provide massage practitioners a chance for comfortable and more relaxing house calls form their clients.

As a bodywork professional your massage table is arguably the most important piece of equipment you will purchase. The right massage table is a great aid in making your practice enjoyable and profitable. Please be aware that your modality of bodywork may have special massage table requirements that you should take into account when making your selection. If you are not sure about your portable massage table requirements, please ask a professional or an instructor in your modality.

If you want to own one, there are many portable massage tables available. All you have to do is find one suitable to your taste and comfort.

With popularity of health spas and massage centers never waning, it would be insane to have never been in one! Wherever you go there is always one center that gives this type of service. Coming into a spa for a massage, it is always important to know what to expect and how to get the best benefits from the massage treatment. It ma eventually help you get the best results and expected therapeutic benefits that you most certainly deserve.
First time to go in a massage spa? Massage has been around for thousands of years. The word "massage" comes from the Greek root "masso" -- to touch. Today it is the most popular spa treatment.

It's surprising how many people haven't tried this enjoyable and healthful experience. Massage releases chronic tension and pain in muscles, improves circulation, increases flexibility in the joints, and reduces mental and physical fatigue. In addition, massage is one of the most effective means available to combat stress.

If it is your first time to go into a spa for a massage, then know these important things before entering, to help you get comfortable with the new atmosphere and to maximize your massage treatment:

• You can drop in for a tour before you even book an appointment. Here's how you can tell if it's a good spa. Tell them it's your first spa visit when you make your appointment.
• Ask questions about which spa treatments would be right for you.
• Arrive at least 15 minutes earlier, more if you want to enjoy facilities like hot tubs and steam rooms. Check in at the front desk and remind them it's your first time.
• You will usually be turned over to a spa attendant who shows you where your locker is and how it works. This should have a lock on it and your robe and slippers are inside.
• Change and, if you have time, enjoy facilities that help you relax for your treatment, like the steam shower, sauna or hot tub.
• A hot shower before your massage is always a good idea. It's essential if you've had a dip in the hot tub. (You need to shower off the chlorine.)

Like any business, the individual(s) who created their Massage Spa or manages it, incorporates her/his personal philosophies, beliefs and experiences into their program. As diverse as every individual is, so are the facilities they have created. A great massage spa is eco-friendly, quiet, aromatherapeutic and beautiful. Then you choose your talented, professional massage therapist. Choose between relax, deep tissue, aromatherapy or hot stone massage. When looking for a day spa, look for those that has friendly, nurturing crews, and they should be able to provide you their license when asked. The atmosphere of the place must also be relaxing, with soothing music and low lighting, with pleasing aromas. These things help you get the most benefit of your massage. Plus, their place must also provide important if not basic equipments and provide menus that complement your spa treatment.

Choose a massage treatment that your body really needs. Know what are the offers of the establishment, and get the treatment that you think ca help you get the most relaxing and invigorating experience. Get your pampering experience, most importantly your health benefits in a massage spa. Make it a habit, to keep yourself fit and healthy all the time.

Combining stretching and strengthening exercises, Pilates works the entire body in fluid movements. It works by building strength from the inside-out and rebalancing the body.

Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts concerned with human health and disease processes. Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical science and, as such, does not include pharmaceuticals or incisive surgery, and one of the great massage offers found at Chicago. It consists of a wide range of specific manual techniques, manipulations, and adjustments designed to improve the function of joins, relive pain and muscle spasm and irritation to the nervous system.

Touch is the core ingredient of Chicago massage therapy and also combines science and art. Practitioners learn specific techniques for Chicago massage and use their sense of touch to determine the right amount of pressure to apply to each person and locate areas of tension and other soft-tissue problems. Touch also conveys a sense of caring, an important component in the healing relationship.

When muscles are overworked, waste products such as lactic acid can accumulate in the muscle, causing soreness, stiffness, and even muscle spasm.
