| This story is unlike any other you have ever read no other story will teach you so much about how to gain success in runescape. No, guide will teach you as much. The tale of how the great Varrockian Dungrador or"The Saviour"as he was known as,saved all of Asgarnia and Misthalin from the "Zamorkian warriors and dragons of the north" is the ultimate guide to runescape power leveling. The beginning
In the day when people roamed freely and Demons and Dragons were unheard of. A man called Dungrador was born in the back alleys of Varrock. His mother and father were proud of there new born son and immediately signed him up for White knight training camp. When he was 16 years of age he graduated and was sent to a White knight Post in the Wilderness (Which was quiet a happy place at the time).
Since, back then not much evil except for some minor thieves, roamed the lands; White Knights were only given Basic training and Dungrador didn't even know what a Goblin was. One day like any day Dungrador went on through the daily routine through the town of Ser-traaz. But once he had reached the town he noticed that no one could be seen and that all the doors to all the houses were open. He then followed a trail of footprints which led to a temple. In the temple stood a strange group people in red robes.
Dungrador had never seen these people on his earlier routines and he decided to approach them with caution."Who goes there?"called out one of the men in robes."It is I Dungrador; I am here to find out where all the people of Ser-traaz have gone?" "Leave now, Saradomist or pay the price!" I shall not leave until I know that these people are safe"replied Dungrador bravely."Get him!"Shouted the man in red robes and as he did, a group of red trimmed armour sprinted towards Dungrador and a fierce battle broke out.
Dungrador was bashed and slashed but still managed to fend off the opposing warriors and run back to the fort. Suddenly, Dungrador collapsed dead. He was never ment to survive longer than this. As you are probably wonder How did he fend of the dragons and warriors from the north and how does this tell you how to gain success in runescape gold?
Well, Dungrador defended misthalin and Asgarnia, but never defeated them.Today he is known as the saviour for the reason that he was the first one to stand up to the zamorkians. The lesson in this is that Dungrador did not train enough and in the end lost to the Zamorkians. Don't make the same mistake.
P.S the Zamorkians later held an uprising and took over the wilderness. They still rule it to this day. |

| Runescape guide on how to train mage without even being near the computer. First of all I have to say, that to do this you will need alot of time I'd suggest up to 5 hours. This training also means that you can leave your computer for the whole 5 hours and you don't even have to watch it( your character doesn't log out.
Ok getting started you need to be wielding full armour any of the following bronze, iron, steel, black, mithril, adamant or rune. You must not have any amulet equipped. Also you need a staff of what ever spell you are going to use. Then you must have green dragon hide vambraces. If you can't wield green dragon hide vambraces then you will have to spend more runescape gold on whatever spell you are going to use because you can't wield a staff. This is because you need a mage attack bonus of -65 or more like -70. If you can't wield green dragon hide vambraces then you can't have a staff on because it puts your mage attack down by 10 so if it was -65 without staff it would be -55 with staff.
Ok now that you have your armour and stuff figured out time to choose what magic attack to use, wind strike which gives 6 xp for missing, water strike which gives 7 xp for missing, earth strike which gives 9 xp for missing or fire strike which gives between 11 and 14 xp for missing. You can use more powerful mage attacks but it will cost more and i don't know how much xp they give you for missing.
Now go to lumbridge and attack a rat in the lumbridge grounds or spiders in the castle cellar. Ok now attack them you will notice that you will always miss. This is because your mage attack bonus is so low you don't hit. This is good because even when you miss you still get a certain amount of xp and also because you are always attacking the rat or spider you don't get logged out. I have just found out that you can not leave the computer and train this is against the rules. Rules state that you are not alowed to afk train. But you can do this as long as you do something on the computer ever 5mins say talk to someone or rotate the camera this will meaqn jagex know you are at the computer. Or if you were really smart put something on the camera angle keys so its constantly turning( thus you must be at the computer to be doing this right lol.)
Hope this guide is helpful I will now give you a equation to figure out how much xp u gain in how many hours of training you do.
20 mage attacks in a minute times 60 minutes in an hour, then times this by the number of hours you are going to train, then times this by the amount of xp gain by each magic attack, this will tell you how much xp you will gain overall.
20 times 60 times number of hours times xp per attack. |

| runescape. Prayer is the most tedious skill to train for f2p players because all the bones in f2p worlds only give 4.5, 15xp. Normal bones, monkey bones and burnt bones are the ones that give you 4.5xp each and big bones give you 15xp each. Range is one of the most used skills after attack, strength and defence!(The LEVEL ?-? titles are for the range levels not the prayer levels)!!! Level 1-5 Start off with a shortbow and bronze arrows.I trained at cows north of Lumbridge (where Beefy Bill is). This is a good spot because cows have a decent amount of health. While killing the cows with range pick up their bones and bury them and if you want you can keep the cowhides and give them to Beefy Bill to bank for you. Never forget to pick up your arrows afterwards.
5-20
Now you can use oak bows again I recommend using the shortbow version. I recommend staying with bronze arrows because they are cheap but are still effective. If your combat level is 20 or higher I recommend going to the minotaurs in the Stronghold Of Security (it is in the center of Barbarian Village). If your combat level is lower than level 20 then train on barbarians or goblins (barbarians recommended because they have more health). Remember to pick up your arrows after each kill. Also remember to keep burying those bones.
20-30
Woohoo they you can use willow bows, that's right you guessed it use a willow shortbow. By now you should be over prayer level 10 (or 15 if you picked up bones dropped by other players). Now it is time to get better arrows. I recommend buying 1k or 2k iron arrows. If your combat level is 34 or higher then I recommend going to Hill Giants because of their drops and because they have a fair amount of health. Hill Giants are good because they drop many things including Limpwurt Roots which sell for around 1.4k and they drop big bones which give 15xp compared to the 4.5xp obtained from normal bones.
30-40
Now you can use the best type of bow for f2p players Maple. Use the shortbow version again. Stay with iron arrows until you have more runescape money and are level 50 range. If you have still been training on hill giants and burying their big bones then you should have around level 15, 20 prayer. Now I suggest training on Moss Giants either in the Varrock Sewers or Crandor Island (must have completed Dragon Slayer Quest). Again they drop big bones.
40-50
If you have enough runescape gold I recommend buying full green d'hide with the coif (if you don't have enough fist of guthix tokens then just buy a green d'hide coif 0 from the grand exchange) and 1k-3k Steel arrows. If you think your prepared then get lots of food and head over to lesser demons and start killing them. They are at the end of the f2p wilderness. !!!BE CAREFUL OF REVENANTS!!!
This is the end of this guide. Look at for the rest of it later on. Hope you liked it. And sorry if there are any spelling errors. |

| Runescape to get these impressive looking Ranged Armours. Ranged is a less preferred combat style in Runescape compared with Melee. However, the advantage of using'Safe Spots'(a spot where the enemy cannot retaliate at all) to kill powerful enemy with Ranged make it temptings for players who want to get profit from monster drop without using food.
The most popular monster to kill with Ranged is Dragon. Player usually equip a Crossbow in their right hand and an Anti Dragonfire shield in their left hand when trying to kill a Dragon. Occasionally, there are also players who just drink Antifire potion and completely use 2 handed bow such as Dark Bows.
The max hit for Ranged can reach 150 on a particular monster if the player using Ruby Bolts for their Crossbow ammo. The ammunition for Ranged are also cheap and affordable for most players. This makes Ranged more preferred than Magic for killing using 'Safe Spots'.
But of course, a high Ranged level wouldn't be enough to impress other players if you still wear a cheap Ranged Armour like Black Dragonhide. By wearing any of expensive Ranged Armour below, you'll surely get compliments often from other players without even talking at all.
Here's the list, sorted from the most expensive :
Third Age Ranged Armor Although this armor has less powerful stats compared to Black Dragonhide, wearing the set of this armor will impress a lot of other players. It's because this armor is extremely rare and you will be lucky to find a player who wear this armor. Even you have enough runescape money to buy the set of this armor, it will take days or even weeks for the order in Grand Exchange to be completed because of its rarity.
Made from White Dragon hide, this armor will give a mighty look for the wearer and it's the only Ranged armor that's colored in white.
Requirement : 40 Defence and 65 Ranged
Price : 90,800,000 Coins
Where Found : Level 3 Treasure Trail (The odd is 1 out of 10,000)
Armadyl Armor
This armor is the second best Ranged armor in Runescape. It's only beaten by Morrigan's Armour which can be acquired in PvP world. However, it will turn into dust after about 1 hour. Hence this armor is much preferred by Ranger in runescape since it will last forever and useful for long-term Ranged training.
The high price of this armor is affected by the difficulty to get this armor. Both the Bodyguards and General Kree'arra who drop this armor are flying and can only be killed with Ranged. All of the Armadyl monsters are also flying and high leveled. Since the player will need to kill 50 Armadyl monster to get into the General's chamber, Armadyl become the most difficult throne to enter in God Wars Dungeon and hence Armadyl Equipments become very expensive compared with other God Equipment.
The look of this armor also resemble a powerful Armadyl Eagle and will make the wearer seems to have an Eagle's Eye ability.
Requirement : 70 Defence and 70 Ranged
Price : 38,600,000 Coins
Where Found : God Wars Dungeon, Armadyl's Eyrie.
Karil's Armor This armor was once belonged to Karil, a Saradomin Ranger who died in the Second Age when defending Morytania against Zamorakian warrior. Later when the reinforcement arrived, they built a Crypt called Barrows and put Karil's Body and his brothers into this sacred Crypt. To protect the holiness of this Crypt, an unknown mage enchant the spirit of Barrow Brothers into a very powerful Spirit so they can guard this Crypt against Zamorakian Raiders.
This armor has less bonus against Magic than Black Dragonhide but in all other Defensive stats, this armor is better than Black Dragonhide. When wearing a Full set of this armor (including the Crossbow), the wearer will gain a bonus called… It will decrease the opponent's agility level if the attack succeed. This is useless even in PvP since most of the players tend to teleport away when running against other player instead of running manually.
The look of this Armor resembles a Dark Ranger since it covered the the entire wearer's face except the eyes. This gives a mysterious look to the wearer.
Requirement : 70 Defence and 70 Ranged
Price : 4,000,000 Coins
Where Found : Barrows Minigames (The chance of getting a Barrow armor piece is 1 out of 15)
Zamorak Blessed Dragonhide Armor Blessed by the Zamorak the Chaos God himself, this armor is matched for Rangers who seek a chaos in their adventure. Most Rangers who wear this armor will usually wear a Zamorak cape as well as Dark Bow to make them totally look evil.
This armor is the most expensive compared to other Blessed Set due to its high demand. It has exactly same bonus stats as other blessed d'hide sets and Black Dragonhide.
The Red color of this armor resembles the big courage of the wearer and the thirst of blood and destruction.
Requirement : 40 Defence and 70 Ranged
Price : 1,800,000 Coins
Where Found : Level 3 Treasure Trail
Saradomin Blessed Dragonhide Armor This holy armor was intended for Rangers who want to keep Justice and Peace in Runescape world. Blessed by the Holy Saradomin, this armor was used by Spiritual Rangers of Saradomin in God Wars to banish evil from Runescape.
Like all blessed armor set, this armor has exactly same bonus stats as Black Dragonhide. By wearing any part of this armor, you won't be attacked by Saradomin army outside the Saradomin General's Chamber in God Wars Dungeon.
The Blue color of this armor resembles a pure and holy strength from a Saradomin ranger. This is best used for those who want to be a Holy Ranger in Runescape.
Requirement : 40 Defence and 70 Ranged
Price : 1,400,000 Coins
Where Found : Level 3 Treasure Trail
Final Word That's all the most expensive Ranged armor in Runescape. I hope you enjoy reading this article, Thank You for reading! If you need more runescape gold when you play the game, welcome to come here. |

| Runescape for 2 years now and have experience in both non-member and member worlds. In this guide, i will be focusing on the non-members.
The task of attaining 99 attack, strength and defence in non-members may seem a daunting task to most, but after reading this guide, I believe that you will find this task much more manageable.
Attack vs strength vs defence Personally, I feel that the order of leveling up should be Strength>Attack>Defence. So after gaining 1 strength level, gain 1 attack followed by 1 defence.
Level 1-10 So fresh off tutorial island and not sure where to start?
First thing to do is to go to the chicken coop at Lumbridge. Chickens can only hit 0s and will never damage you. Keep killing them until you have about 100 feathers. Go to the Grand Exchange and purchase an Iron armour set along with an Iron scimitar. Also, bury every bone you get as prayer is very important in both non-members and members.
Keep killing chickens until 10 attack, 10 strength and 10 defence. By then, you should have a decent amount of feathers. Go to the grand exchange and purchase a set of full steel and a steel scimitar. A scimitar is the best weapon in f2p and should always be your weapon of choice. If you have enough money left over, buy a power amulet for yourself. The power amulet is the best amulet you can get in free-to-play.
Also, Black is almost always a waste of runescape money and you should never buy it unless for looks(Black g).
Level 10-20 From here onwards, you can start killing cows. If you get damaged, you can pick up the beef and cook it.
Collect the cowhide you get from the cows and bank it every time you get a full inventory. Cowhides sell for a lot on the grand exchange.
Due to your lower levels, I would suggest getting 15 strength, then 15 attack, 20 strength, 20 attack and finally 20 defence. This is to maximize your kill rate.
When you finally have 20 Attack strength and defence, you can sell your cowhides for a massive amount of money. Use this to purchase a full set of mithril and a mithril scimitar.
Level 20-30 At this point in time, you can visit the stronghold of security and kill the minotaurs on the first level. These minotaurs drop a lot of iron arrows so pick them up. You can either sell them or use them for your ranged training in the future.
If you run out of food, go to world 1 at the fly fishing spot. There are usually a lot of people training their fishing there and they will be more than willing to give you free trout and salmon.
Level 30 will not take a long time to get at this rate. You can now choose to complete both the stronghold of security and the stronghold of player safety, which will give you 20k in total.
You should now be able to afford Full adamant. Buy that and an Adamant scimitar.
Level 30-40 This is it, the big step to rune. At your level, you should go train at the hill giants in the varrock dungeon. You need a brass key to access it.
You can stock up food from the above mentioned spot before you train here. This is so that you do not have to repeatedly go back to get food.
Kill the hill giants there but in this case, do not bury the bones. Each of the bones they drop can sell for upwards of 300gp each!
The training here should make you a pile of money so when you have reached level 40 Attack, strength and defence, sell the big bones for runescape gold!
Dragon slayer At level 40 Attack Strength and defence, you are prepared to do dragon slayer to wear the Rune platebody. You can refer to walkthrough to guide you.
Level 40-60 To afford full rune, I would suggest killing more hill giants and selling the big bones. When you have full rune, you can almost call yourself a master of f2p combat!
The next hurdle to cross will be to level 60. For this, I recommend you kill level 28 flesh crawlers at the stronghold of security. Their max hit is 1 so you do not have to bring too much food.
These 20 levels should not take long considering the huge amount of exp you will be getting from flesh crawlers.
Level 60-99(Option 1) Congratulations! Now it's the big test. Can you last till 99?
The best would be level 50 spiders in the stronghold of security for you. These do not drop anything so you will have to bear that in mind when picking this option. They can give really fast exp and it is possible to gain 50k exp per hour at higher levels with strength potions.
Level 60-75, then 75-99(Option 2) Your next option would be to kill level 50 spiders until level 75. Then you can move to Ankous on the 4th level of the stronghold of security. These drop Ores and Adamant arrows consistently so training here should solve almost all your monetary problems.
Level 60-70, then 75-99(Option 3) Same as above, except this time you go to the lesser demons in Karamja. The added benefit is that there is a fishing dock nearby so you almost never have to leave! Also, lesser demons also drop rune medium helmets that alch for 11250 gp each!
Notable training spots 1.Moss giants 2.Deadly red spiders 3.Barbarians 4.Skeletons 5.Greater demons 6.Cockroach soldiers
Conclusion This concludes my guide for F2P melee combat. Why not become a member and buy that skillcape you always wanted?
Hope you liked my guide. |

| Runescape as a free player. This is much more detailed and in-depth than those other noobie guides that just tell you what to chop, yet Triond accepted them! Please accept this since it is NOT too similar to other guides; this is more detailed. F2P Woodcutting Guide Are you a non-member? Stressed out at all those members who make 10 mil a day? There are great ways to make money in RuneScape if you're not a member. Woodcutting is one.
This is one of the hardest skills to train in RuneScape, but when it gets to 60, you're talking about making the big bucks. As of November 15, 2008, the price of a single yew log is 457 gp each! In the good old days waaayyy before the Grand Exchange, they were only 300 gp each, and you had to spam your sale in a bank. Currently, only around 8 loads of yew logs (each load is 28) is 100k.
To train woodcutting, you start with an iron axe and cut normal trees at anywhere? There's no place without ordinary trees near it. After you cut a whole inventory of logs, either drop them or deposit them in a nearby bank to sell later. Grand Exchange price is 25 gp each. You should get to level 15 WC in a few minutes because each log gives you 25 exp.
Immediately chop oak logs after you get 15 WC if you want experience (they give 37.5 exp), but still chop normal logs if you really need runescape money (because oak logs also sell for 25 gp). Remember to deposit all oak logs in the bank after you get a full load. The best place to chop oak logs is at an oak tree on the right-hand side of Draynor bank (circled in red); that way you can deposit the oak logs you get almost instantly. Plus, oak trees spawn only a few seconds after they have been chopped down. The only disadvantage to this spot is that it's popular and another person will chop here.
Don't start cutting willows at level 30 WC, because of two reasons: they're slow to cut & only give 67.5 exp (you cut oak logs more than two times faster) and they don't sell at ALL. Although the grand exchange price is 18 gp each, thousands (or possibly millions) of willow logs sit in there collecting dust for all eternity. Keep cutting the same oak tree until your wc level is around 50; now willow trees are better experience since you can cut them fast. Cut willows at the spot southwest of Draynor Bank (circled in blue) until level 60. This is by far the best spot for willows because it's right next to a bank and has five willows, so there's always one to cut, even though there are always a few people here. The ordeal from level 55-60 gets extremely boring because it takes a long, LONG time to get one level. But once you get to 60 wc, you've got a reason to celebrate! Shout to everyone around you, "Woot, 60 wc!!!!" and say goodbye to the willow trees forever. The whole process from level 1 to 60 takes several weeks if you don't play that much. If you haven't realized, it takes a lot longer to level up at higher levels. From 1-15 is 5 minutes. 15-30 is 1 hour. 30-60 is many weeks. And 60-99? God knows how long.
Finally! The time to make runescape gold has come. There are 4 good spots to cut yew logs, but each has its advantages and disadvantages. In the following figures, the path to the nearest bank(s) has been labeled as a red arrow. My favorite and the least crowded is the 4 yew trees between Lumbridge and Draynor Village (left). You must be using a rune axe at this point, or you'll chop hella slowly. When you get a full inventory, cross through the tower at the Lumbridge castle and go to the bank in Lumbridge if you are at the easternmost yew tree. Otherwise go to the Draynor bank to bank your yew logs. This area is good because it's less crowded and even empty late at night but bad because the trees are widely spaced apart.
One of the most convenient yew spots is north of the Varrock Castle (right). Its workers have grown three yew trees for players to chop. It's a great place because the trees are very close to each other and the whole spot is very close to the Grand Exchange, which doubles as the nearest bank. Many people have taken advantage of this, however, and there are LOTS of people here on every world, including pvp worlds. Even late at night you can't find a world without someone here. You spend more than half your time waiting for a yew to spawn.
To the left is a map of the four yew trees south of Falador. Their perks are kinda in between the two previous spots because the yew trees are closer to each other than the first spot mentioned, but have more people. Less people than Varrock castle, more space in between each tree. To take a shortcut down to the southern tree, go through the cabbage field. You may have to open the gates. If your inventory is full when you're at that yew tree, bank your yew logs at the Draynor bank. Use the Falador bank for the three closer to Falador.
Last (and also convenient) area to cut yews is southwest of Edgeville bank, where you can basically run back and forth between the trees and bank without losing much run energy. The distance between the trees and bank is its main appeal. I've heard that most people go to this one, and as a result, is as crowded as Varrock palace's yew trees. I don't suggest this one because only two yew trees make it hard to find something that's not a stump.
Once you've got several hundred logs, sell them by going to the grand exchange and putting up your yew logs at market price. Don't use highest because no one will buy it nor lowest because you won't make as much. Most of the time, all of them will be sold immediately, and sometimes it takes a few minutes.
Well guys, enjoy your career of woodcutting. The skill that's safer than pking, less risky than merchanting, and faster than fishing. Oh, and the chopping doesn't look as gay as mining (try mining something and look closely at your character swinging the pickax. If you liked this guide, press the "I like it!" button and click on the ads.
Tips:
Immediately upgrade to the next axe when your woodcutting level qualifies for it. The wc levels for steel, mithril, adamant, and rune axes are 6, 21, 31, and 41, respectively, 1 level above the required attack level to wield them. Iron axe can be used at level 1.
If your attack level is high enough, equip the axe you use to chop. This gives you one extra inventory space.
Woodcutting etiquette: if other people are also chopping, ask, "wc lvl?" or use quick chat. If it's pretty high, say "Nice" or "wow". Also state your wc level.
Occasionally, a tree spirit will spawn and attack you with melee. Try to kill it, using prayer if necessary. Tree spirits drop anything from a single banana to 22 nature runes to a random axe. You cannot attack a tree spirit that wants to attack another person; a message "It's not after you." will show.
If the tree you're cutting suddenly shows these moving branches and has red eyes on the trunk, it has become an Ent. Stop chopping it immediately or your axe will be broken. In the event that your axe does get broken, you can't chop or attack anything with it and must get Bob to repair it. Bob's Brilliant Axes is in Lumbridge, where Bob repairs bronze, iron, and steel axes for free and any axes above that for a certain price. I know that rune axes cost 427 gp to repair.
Chopping willows and yews gets quite boring, because it takes a while for the tree to become a stump and you have to move to another tree. I've developed a good way to multitask while chopping that I'll share with you. Make sure your audio settings in RuneScape have the sound effects at max. Then turn your speakers up a bit so that you can clearly hear the chopping sound whenever you're chopping. Open up another browser window, and surf the internet, watch YouTube videos, do anything while your character in RuneScape is chopping. Once you stop hearing the chopping sound, go back to the RuneScape window and go to a different tree and start chopping that one, then resume your second activity. This is a very effective way to not be bored, but you won't be able to hear Ents so your axe will be broken just about every time an Ent shows up.
Especially with yew trees, every single place to chop them is very crowded in main hours (not at night or early morning). Therefore a good way to have more trees to yourself is to chop in a pvp world. Few people go that far outside a safe place. You can even multitask as explained in the previous tip, because you will hear combat sounds if you're being attacked. Unfortunately, other people may go on pvp worlds for the same purpose of chopping yew trees. If someone attacks you, you will hear them and must run to the nearest bank or safe spot if you can't kill them. |

| All right, once you have made a character and gotten through the tutorial island. MELLEE
Right out of lumbridge start training at goblins till u hit 20 str and 5 atk.never get a high atk for a free member pker becuase its just a waste trust me in the long run.
From there go to cows get 10 atk and ehhh… 30 str. remembering to bank all your hides as u get. each cowhide are 100-130 each.
From there you have to go to barbarian village and kill barbarians.not much cash but. pick up bones and bank and sell them. its a steady cash flow but not much at here, you want to get 20 atk and 50 str.( or ultimately just get 50 str and 30 atk) after these the most famous little creature in the stronghold of security ; flesh crawlers. these are lvl 35 but have 25 hitpoints giving 100 exp per kill and have low defence. ( found in the southeast corner of the second level. [level of Famine])known in the members world to bring in about 200k in one hour. but in free members you dont make anything from it. the best alternative for training like these is hill giants and thsoe are always packed but give the same exp and there bones are 500 each. just train str level to your desired level. good luck!
RANGED
Range is the easy part but boring.range gives you the freedom to "safespot"or attack a NPC from a safe distance without getting hit. so u can eliminate food and just train, a big advantage at hill giants.
From levels 1 -20 get at goblins or cows your choice. at cows remember to bring for a bit of cash.
Levels 20-40 I would suggest barbarians and flesh crawlers for best exp.
From level 40 ranged and on in free members, should always be fleshcrawlers because of the fast experience you get from them which you cant get anywhere else in the free servers.
FAST RUNDOWN OF TRAINING PART OF GUIDE
20 str 5 atk – goblins
30 str 10 atk – cows
50 str 20 atk – barbarians, fleshcrawlers, and hill giants
1-20 range – goblins and cows
20-40 range - barbarians and fleshcrawlers
40 and on – flesh crawlers
VISUAL AID
Goblins are found to the west ,cows are found in the fenced in area to the northeast.
Within the barbarian village there are barbarians simply attack them. levels ranging from 9-17 rangers note that you can safespot the barbarians from behind the mining rocks in the middle. Barbarian Village located south of edgeville and west of varrock.
To get into the hill giant lair you need a brass key you can buy one from the grand exchange.Labeled "ladder to brass key house"is where you entered.

| Mining can be a very boring skill to train due to it being very repetitive. Though if you achieve 99 and get the cape, it's one of the greatest achievements that Runescape players will find really cool. You may be thinking that after looking at skill calculators and seeing the number of ore you will have to mine will take forever to complete. Though there is a much faster way. There is still loads to mine but can be done very quickly. (Except for free users, there is a separate guide for you)
Free Users:
Requirements: (A Pic-axe which you can wield and is the highest kind of pic-axe you can use for you level.
Levels 1 – 15: Mine copper and tin. The best place to mine is south east of varrock. Only mine here if you intend of keeping what you mine as it is very crowded and is very competitive on who gets the ore first. If you want a quite place where you're not bothered about collecting ore go to either Rimmington or the Dwarfen mines. Rimmington is the quietest though Dwarfen mines are closest to a bank.
Levels 15- 30: Now mine iron. The best places to mine are in the same places as I had states before.
Levels: 30 – 60: Mine coal. It is very competitive on getting the ore again. Best places can be like barbarian village or if you dare… the Wilderness.
Levels: 60 – 99: You now a high enough level to go into the mining guild. The fastest way is to stay there and keep mining coal till 99.
Members:
Levels: 1 – 45: Much the same as free users though when mining coal and iron, the best place to mine is East of Ardougne.
Level: 45- 99: This is the fastest Mining exp in game and its mining granite. Granite respawns and is mined as fast as iron so can be mined at a very quick pace. If you gt a large piece of Granite you get 75 exp, medium 60exp and small 50 exp. Granite is found in the southern part of the desert. Near to where you start Enakhras's Lament Quest. Using this method you can get upward to 50K exp an hour which is as fast as you can get. It estimates to around 260 hours work to get 99 Mining which is quite long but quicker than mining ore.
Good Luck!

Best Method For Getting Mining From level 70-99 I have developed a method for mining iron ore that is faster than traditional powermining in Runescape. Best method for getting from level 70-99.
The fact is that there are not many shortcuts when it comes to leveling up in mining. Even to reach level 70 you need to either go to the Mining Guild and mine coal forever or powermine iron ore. For those who aren't familiar with powermining, it is the process of mining iron and either banking it or dropping it as fast as you can. You are mostly concerned with getting as much experience as you can in the least amount of time. For this to be efficient you need a rune pickaxe and about 45+ in mining. With this method you can average about 20k experience an hour with about level 65 or so, varying depending on your mining level.
However there are ways to increase your exp/hour quite a bit if you are willing to sacrifice the profits from selling the iron and be willing to concentrate more on your task. First I suggest you find two iron rocks that are hardly ever used. Personally I suggest the two rocks in the Dwarven mine in Falador (Go in the entrance by the Party Room and go North, just around the corner to the West). Now make sure you are on a world that has a high population so the respawn rate is high enought that you are not waiting for the next rock very long.
Now you are ready to actually mine the iron. Get to the point where you can mine both rocks without having to move. Now mine the first rock. Then click on the second rock to begin mining it. As soon as you click the second rock right click on the first ore in your inventory and drop it as soon as you sucessfully mine the second rock. Once you dropped that rock, click to mine another ore and right click and drop one from your inventory as soon as you mine it.
This method will seem confusing at first, but once you have it down you will realize that it is much faster. It takes about 2 minutes or so to mine a load of iron and about 30 seconds to drop it all. This method completely takes out the drop time, making it about 20-25% more Runescape Gold. efficient than powermining. So if you average 20k exp/hour, with this method you will average 25-30k exp/hour. |

| This is a guide on how to train efficiently on lesser demons and it is meant for the use of F2P high leveled training in Runescape. If you are a member you can use this method but as a member there are many better options. Now you might be asking, "Why lesser demons?"Well as a F2P player myself I'd like to testify that lesser demons are arguably the best monster to train on for high leveled F2P characters. (Cockroach Soldiers are also another option but you'll see why Lesser Demon's are more viable later on in this guide) If you have reached a high level like level 90 or so then you might want to consider training on hell-hounds and greater demons if you are not afraid of the wilderness…
Back to the reason of this guide and the main question in your head, "Why lesser demons?" Here are some of the best reasons why:
They can be found in Karamja volcano and this is nearby a very good food source…. the fishing docks on Musa point. (the part of Karamja accessible by free players) All you really need to bring is either a harpoon or a lobster pot. From experience I'd like to say that you must rather bring a lobster pot if you fishing level is low. I'd wait until you are level 65 finishing before trying to bring a harpoon to get swordfish as it will take too long to get enough otherwise. You will not need to bring a hatchet or tinderbox unless you are on a completely empty world or if the people on the docks are very selfish.
Most of the time they will make fires to cook their own fish so you can use those, and if no-one is cooking then ask when you have a full inventory and most of the time some kind bloke will come and help. This means that per training trip you will have to spend NO money on bringing food! This also means that you will not have to take trips back to bank as often! (You will eventually have to bank because of getting drops and filling up your inventory)
Another reason is that the lesser demon's themselves are low in defending ability and high in hit points! Excellent for training as they let you hit often and hard, optimizing the experience you get per hour. If you have finished demon slayer silver light will help by weakening the demon but a rune longsword, scimitar or two handed one works just as well. (if not better) They give about 316 experience per kill and sometime higher if you take long to kill them as the regenerate hit points quite fast.(runescape money) There are six lesser demons in the mountain by the lava just below the deadly red spiders which is more than enough to share with 4 or so people. If you are a ranger or magician there are many, and when I say many I mean MANY safe spots to attack the demons from. By the lesser demons you'll also find three bone spawns and four fire rune spawns. There is also an interesting purple demon closest to the deadly red spiders.
The last reason for training on them are the drops! Lesser demons have wonderful drops and over time you might even get a rune medium helm or two! Here is what they drop: (all of these are in order of rarity)
100% Drop:Ashes (pretty useless and only worth 7 coins)
Gold Drops:Anywhere from 10 to 450 coins.
Weapon Drops:Steel Scimitar, Steel longsword or a steel hatchet. (If you bring nature runes you could high alchemy these from the fire rune drops)
Armour Drops:Steel Full helm, Mithril Chain-body, Mithril Square Shield or even a Rune Medium Helm! (I would suggest to high alchemy all of them except the rune medium helm as most of them don't sell in the grade exchange)
Rune Drops:Fire Runes (30 or 60), Chaos Runes (12) and Death Runes (3)(Fire runes are good for High alchemy if you have level 55 magic)
Other Drops:Gold Ore, Jug of wine and uncut sapphires, emeralds, rubies and diamonds. (in order of rarity)(A jug of wine could keep you there for a little longer without having to go back and fish but BEWARE it does lower stats)
On a last note, the lesser demons are level 82 so they ALWAYS are aggressive to any player for the first 15 to 20 minutes around them. After this they will ignore you and not auto-attack. (If you leave into the deadly red spiders area and come back, they will be aggressive to you again.
A general rule is that try to be on a server where there are one or two more people in case you die. Ask them to repair your grave until you come back to get your stuff. This has happened to me once and was level 85. (I have dual screen and I wasn't paying attention to my hit points. So I ended up with 6 hit points left before I noticed but then it was too late) Just don't forget to pay attention to the demons or you might find yourself back in Lumberbridge.
