In terms of renting a limousine there are some tips you can consider before choosing the right limousine.
Planning is important. One have to decide what type of limousine needed, some types are Standard Stretch, Super Stretch, SUV Hummer, Escalade, Rolls Royce, maybe a desired color and the size of the limousine, the number of passengers that can be accommodated in the limo, the number of passengers and the like.
There are many limousine companies, but if you think that they are all equal, absolutely their not. Limousine companies differ from rates and every other feature that they offer. If you heard of a limousine company who offer very low rates, think again, the question here is that, what type of limousine they uses, the drivers, what are the features they offer, they could be using older and over used limo. Think wisely, if you only have to add up about $5-15 dollars more per hour in a first class vehicle with a professional driver. Wouldn’t it be better, having a high end and greater service than the over used one vehicle!
Now, if customer actually wanted to rent more than one vehicle, like a limo, a bus, a van as their second vehicle. It is wiser to ask if the limousine company gives special offers. Actually there are some limousine companies who offer discounts when renting multiple vehicles.
A customer must ask the limousine company to give a certain name and number of a person that can be contacted in terms of a problem arises. This person will be the one that you can contact about the schedules and other important details about the service that has been discussed.
There are some questions and details one should be asking and inquiring before renting limousine service to a certain company. Know how long the business is in the market, how huge their limo fleet, what types and colors of limo are available, do the limo has air condition and heat control for the passenger area, the cost, the minimum hours required, the extra rates they get for exceeding hours, types of payment, and all in there in the package and the likes.
You would also ask if the driver is wearing a uniform, since some limousine companies have standard uniforms and other don’t have. It would be better that the driver is clean and looks professional.
If ever that you’ll be using the limousine for wedding, you could also ask if they can put the ‘Just Married’ sign and if it has extra charge or if you can put your own sign. Knowing the details are very important, you actually don’t want to end up knowing certain rules when you already have sign a contract with them.
One more thing, before signing a contract with the limousine service that you chose, wiser to read all what is written in that contract. Make sure that the details that you have discussed are there, the schedule for pick up, the destinations, the number of passengers and so on.
Be alert, research; know all the details, plan and decide ahead of time.

bit more complicated than one might find. In starting any business, finding capital, or acquiring the best lending or financing option may be one of the hardest things to consider.
Today, most typical lenders aren't interested in lending money to a startup limousine service business. These lenders consider it a high risk type of business, may somehow feel that their investment can be better spent somewhere else in their portfolio.
However, there are some lenders that feel comfortable in the transportation industry, and could give easy, affordable and light lending terms, a s some have already experience in financing many limo industry startups, and will cover not only limousines but additionally vehicles, shuttle buses, coach and tour buses, SUV's and pick-ups, ambulances and hearses.
Lenders review An Applicant's Overall Background
Most lending agencies and firms begin by reviewing a loan applicant's background, and will need to make sure that they have experience it in this industry, or will have other key employees that can supplement this situation.
In addition, these lending firms understand that this start up business may lose money at the beginning, and will want a comfort level, such that an applicant will have a nest egg of money. An income-producing spouse that can support the cash flow demand, especially during the startup stage would be a good additional positive factor. Also, the applicant's personal credit may be raised to a higher level to make sure that the lender has a qualified applicant.
Determining How Much A Lender Will Give To Your Start-up Rental Business
Once the lender gets passed the initial credit review stage, the amount of upfront money to qualify for a lease becomes an issue. Each lender has different standards and policies, however for the most part these lending agencies will require the applicant to raise an amount of somewhere between 10%-25% of the acquired cost of the limousine, as each limo deal is reviewed separately by the lender since in their mind, a Hummer H3 vs a Lincoln Town Car has different criteria to them.
These lending firms review the year, make and model, including the mileage and others, etc to come up with a viable financing deal. There are many lending firms that don't like lending below $25,000 to $30,000, and a limousine no older than maybe three to four years old.
The Last Part would be Determining How Your Monthly Payments Will Be
The last aspect of the limousine rental business financing process, is finding out exactly how much you monthly payment will be. Probably the toughest part of this exercise, is getting the initial financing, and there are times when sometimes a co-signor might be necessary and additional collateral may be required.
Once you survive the initial stages, and you could show your creditors that you can survive and pay your bills, then the next move, which would be acquisition, may seem a lot easier. The requirements of financing the second lease will hopefully be much easier than the initial stages.

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission today began the distribution of
a Request for Information to seek information on ways to bring the next iconic
taxi to the City's streets.
The RFI was authored by the TLC and the
Mayor's Office in consultation with Ricardo, Inc., a leading independent
provider of technology, product innovation, engineering solutions and strategic
consulting to the world's automotive, transport and new energy industries.
Ricardo was recently engaged by the TLC to work on the project.
The "Taxi
of Tomorrow" project brings together a number of Bloomberg Administration
agencies working toward the initiative's common goals, including the Mayor's
Office of Operations (Jeffrey Kay, Director), the Mayor's Office for People with
Disabilities (Matthew Sapolin, Commissioner), and the Economic Development
Corporation (Seth W. Pinsky, President).
The RFI's goal is to gauge from
the auto manufacturing industry the possibility of creating vehicles that
incorporate and balance the different needs of a taxi operating within New York
City. NYC intends to use the information gained from this RFI to inform a
process that will create a blueprint and timeline for bringing new taxicab
vehicles to the streets. This vehicle would meet key elements that would allow
it to serve New Yorkers and visitors alike in every way they seek to be served
by a taxicab.

New York City's undercover inspectors are finding that the cab drivers largely
play by the city's regulations when it comes to cell phones.
Inspectors
and police officers have taken more than 1,200 rides disguised as everyday
passengers since "Operation: Secret Rider" began Jan. 23.
Taxi &
Limousine Commission officials said Wednesday that fewer than 100 summonses for
cell-phone use have been issued so far.
TLC Chairman Matthew Daus says
that's encouraging, but the initiative will continue.
The TLC's
undercover agents look for drivers talking on cell phones while the cab is
moving, refusing to accept credit cards or otherwise violating regulations.
Representatives of the Taxi Workers Alliance, an advocacy group, call
the program sneaky and disrespectful to drivers.
The crackdown comes
amid a large number of complaints by passengers, who were previously griping
about the rudeness and bad habits shown by many of the city's Yellow cab
drivers.
