Wow.  November 1st and 26 degrees Celsius.  84 Fahrenheit I believe.  Unbelievable weather.  We wore our bathing suits to the beach and I went in up to my knees.   With more company, I would have gone swimming :) but my chilly companions wanted to climb the ropes on the beach.  I collected shells for crafts that Ben and I make together.

We are a 10-15 minute "toddler" walk to the beach from our house along Avenida Mediterraneo.  We walked the other day and I just loved watching Ben celebrate our arrival at the beach.  The joy was immense and quite contagious.  I found myself feeling so grateful to be living our life right now, despite the terrible bronchitis and asthma I was experiencing at the moment.  (currently on the mend)

Anyway, check out the new photos of his "ode to the beach" and "dance, free toddler, dance" moves.

Our thought of the day is that we should try and buy an apartment.  If you know us, you know that we've had these thoughts before (DC, West Virginia, Silver Spring) so we may or may not execute on the idea.  But sometimes looking and speculating is fun.

The idea of owning something near the beach is pretty nice.  These are family neighborhoods within a 20 minute busride of downtown Valencia.  Blocks from the beach.  Real Estate has gone up fourfold here in the last 8 years.  Nobody thinks it can last.  Perhaps not.  However, there aren't that many places in the world where you can live in a nice, modern and relatively safe city near the beach for an affordable amount of money.  We'll keep thinking and researching.  My bet is that the closer we are to the beach, the more visits we'll get :)
