On Dec. 6, St. Mikulas visits along with an angel and the devil. If you have been good, he will find your name in his book of "good people."  The angel will require you to sing a song and then gives you a present. If you've been bad...the devil heckles you and you are given a potato. Children leave their shoes outside on the night of Dec. 5 in hopes of the shoes being filled with a gift by Mikulas.  This year, I had a visit by angel and the devil and St. Mikulas himself. They looked amazingly like my former students dressed up!  What a treat!
